I never thought I’d say this, but... I’m on YouTube. 🥹🌿

The Nudges I Almost Ignored

For over a year now, little nudges have been showing up in the form of DMs, emails, and conversations with friends — all gently suggesting the same thing: "You should consider putting more of your content on YouTube."

Every time, I'd smile, maybe laugh a little, and respond with something along the lines of, "Haha… I don't think I'm cut out to be a YouTuber."

Because truly, the idea didn't sit quite right with me. I never saw myself holding a camera, vlogging, or editing videos. Being a "YouTuber" — in the traditional sense — just didn't feel like me.

But as time passed, something started to shift.

Finding My True Calling

I noticed how often I'd write long captions or pour my heart into IG stories that expired in 24 hours. I'd struggle to squeeze messages of meaning and hope into 15-second reels. I began to feel the tension of wanting to say more, to go deeper, to create with space and intention — not rush through checklists or trends.

Then recently, while taking part in The Significant Women course (oh, that one's a story I'll save for another day — so good), I had to write down what I was most passionate about. I paused... and slowly, the words came:

Teaching. Art. Life coaching. Communicating truth and encouragement clearly, kindly, purposefully.

And just like that, the nudges started to make a little more sense.

Taking the Leap of Faith

So after months (maybe even years) of praying, wrestling, and dreaming quietly in the background — I'm finally taking the leap.

Today, I get to share this with you:

🎥 My very first YouTube video is live.

It's called Who is Serene Wu? — and it's really just a simple introduction. A quiet hello to anyone new or curious. A little sharing about who I am, what I stand for, and what this space is meant to do.

An Invitation to Slow Down

With my faithful Pentel Brush Sign Pen in hand, I invite you into the stillness — into the process of slowing down, reflecting, and writing one letter at a time.

My hope is that this little corner of the internet becomes a place of calm and encouragement for you too. A space that reminds you to:

  • Breathe deeply
  • Create mindfully
  • Grow gently

If it speaks to you, I'd love for you to leave a comment below the Youtube video (and subscribe if this resonates with you) â€” even just to say hi. Your words, your presence, your support — they matter more than you know. I truly mean that.

This is just the beginning. And I'll be showing up imperfectly, but consistently — because I really believe that consistency compounds.

What's Coming Next

In the weeks ahead, I'll be sharing:

  • Beginner-friendly calligraphy tutorials
  • Reflections on creativity and faith
  • Behind-the-scenes of my own practice
  • Answers to your most-asked questions

May this new chapter honor the Lord.

May it serve you well.

And may it spark joy, rest, and growth as we continue building something beautiful together.

With so much love,
Serene 💛
