Before we create something breathtaking in calligraphy,
we begin… with color.
And what better place to begin than the colors of the rainbow?
In the quiet rhythm of brush and water, there’s something deeply sacred that happens. A slowing down. A soft remembering. A gentle invitation to just be.
This is Part 1 of our special Waterbrush Calligraphy series — and today, we’ll ease into watercolor blending using the full spectrum of ROYGBIV:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
(Or as I like to remember it: “Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain”)
Each stroke is a layer of beauty.
Each hue is a whisper of joy.
