Flourishing in calligraphy is like adding graceful swirls and gentle curves to your letters- little EXTRA STROKES that bring beauty, movement and elegance to your calligraphy writing.

I'm just starting out with brush pen calligraphy. Where should I begin? Is this workshop for beginners?
Absolutely, we all start somewhere! This is PERFECT for beginners! :)
The best starting point is to JUST START!
Gather your basic supplies: Pentel Brush Sign Pen, or any other brush pen or even just a PENCIL (blunt pencil, not mechanical pencil), print out the materials on normal printing paper and join in the zoom session or watch through the training video (replay of zoom live available after 24 Aug 2025).
The Sundays Dawn flourishing notes and practice guide sheets provided are designed to help you include flourishes in your calligraphy or normal writing! Through the zoom workshop, you will be guided to start with simple strokes and basic drills to get a feel for your brush pen and be able to immediately apply flourishing to your writing! And that is the beginning of something beautiful!
